LET US MAKE OUR DESIRE SELFLESS

HAPPINESS-DESIRE

Happiness, the word made us in some stage of enthusiasm and sparks light to our inner voice.

Thus, happiness gives us an ideal way to march ahead in our life.

It is nothing but the happiness which controls all sorts of stress in any wrong happenings.

The happiness varies from person to person.

For a kid, happiness is about giving him toys or telling him a nice story or a beautiful smile.

For a child it can be as simple as watching a cartoon or buying him/her a favourite clothes or taking him to a very nice restaurant or anything whatever makes him happy.

For a teenager in college, it will be as simple as curiosity to talk to a gals or friends whome he have dreamed a lot.

A women in home became happy in two ways, one when she watches her son or daughter coming from school and another when her husband comes from office.

So this happiness is pretty much dependent on individuals choice and nature.

But there is a twist, when this desire drives us towards happiness.
Each one of us have got some desire in our life.

This desires leads to the formation of levels in happiness, When something have got some levels or hurdles its difficult to achieve.

So, don't you think so this desire is the cause which retards the happiness and split it into many levels, because desire makes us selfish towards our goal or objective and thus the our karma gets spoiled unintentionally. This results in making everyone almost impossible to attain cent percentage happiness.

But, yes there is always a way to overcome this hurdles or level towards happiness. If we start thinking above all materialistic pleasure or follow spirituality which is nothing but (giving without expecting nothing in return) then we will not have this desire at all.

Then we can do everything what our instinct demands and hence we can definitely able to find the real truth of this maya called life, because we are all searching soul during our manifestation of life.

The point is the person should be selfless. I will try to explain you with a simple example:

Suppose a person has a lot of money and he/she donates some of his/her money to charity for getting publicity or popularity , at that point of time if he/she would have a desire of getting respect or fame.
Then he/she won't able to get cent % happiness and thus will not be satisfied in his /her life.

We go to temple or mosque or church or any pilgrim, there also we have a desire, May GOD bless my family, my friend, my soul mate and blah blah ..that's it,
thus we have a desire and we are only responsible for putting hurdles or levels in the process of achieving happiness.

But if we pray God, May God bless Everyone! We won't have any selfish desire or our desire will be selfless, i.e. possible only if we are detached attachment to all equally or helping someone unknown unconditionally, as well as follow unconditional love i.e. loving someone with expecting nothing in return then we will definitely get that infinite happiness or divinity.

The real life examples are Mother Teresa, Mahatma Gandhi, Shahid bhagat Singh, and many more. These people have a desire of same kind and have achieved happiness because they respect the God Hidden inside them and follow their instinct of selflessness and were brave enough to face this maya called life very effectively.

So let us join our hand to make this hurdles or levels of happiness into a challenges, and think every challenge as praying to GOD, so that we get full satisfaction from our life and become truly happy and closest to one and all Almighty.

ANGRISH SHUKLA....

Dear Vishal,
I wont say, what u say is wrong or what i am going to say here is right. but i would like to put up my point of view here. When u say, curbing of one's own desire is the way to be happy, do u mean only the physical aspects of a desire or ne kind of desire?? What i feel is, the desire to do something, to achieve something in life is the fuel that keep u running.
I had read this in a wall poster, "HOPE U GET EVERYTHING U WISH FOR EXCEPT ONE, SO THAT U VE GOT SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO AND LIVE". what i feel is, the day, i stop wanting something i would be as good as dead.
u talk about happiness, but in a way its ur desire to be happy. u talk about satisfaction, then again u desire to be satisfied. everyone gets happiness and satisfaction from different things.
There's a lot i want to talk about, but the place and time dont seem right. may be u can come to the orkut link that i provided with my name, and then we will find somewhr we can discuss about these. i would love to share my ideas with u and would love to hear urs.

hello ,
i really love to read ur articles.

thanks

I liked the last comment by Radhika...,

Do you mean to say that "it is something which happens and it can't be made to happen"

Well..., my opinion would be that desires or passions arise out of a failure in attaining what one wanted at some point in their lives.., chasing that past impression of happiness is what we do instead of living and let live.

Give up these past desires and it should not be from a desire to be happy.., but because of the realisation that happiness doesn't come in the past or the future...., but only in the present.

hello,
i would like to put vishal's idea in this form: 'we should have desires but no expectations...'
now, i would like to divert the topic slightly and ask a simple question to all of you, why are we biased towards happiness in the matter of happiness and sorrow? why don't we follow a simple equation that when something goes wrong we should feel sad and when something happens good, we should feel happy? why do we always want to supress the feeling of sadness, which ultimately results in more sadness? we shoud follow 'THE MIDDLE PATH'...
comments please...

yaar tune achha lika hai...
the point is people see things differently which is evident from the comments given...but i M NOT SAYING U TO BEND TO EACH AND EVERY INTERESTS ........

@mohmad imran khan
yes u r right, as u said if there is pain then only that cent% happiness will be there..but i guess i m not telling anyone to curb sadnesss..it's a pain to follow...like i have written wen we go to temple or mosque or church.,.we pray god to bless our family and friends that's it...i m telling to pray god to bless all,.,,i know it's painful because all contains....everyone including ur enemy and i guess there is sadness..but the joy willl give a way not only to serve humanity but also to get cent% HAPPINESS.....

hello vishal,
happiness is very subjective. what is happiness for me might not be the same for you. when you say we shouldnt have desires, is it possble to achieve it?? and why does everyone attribute "selfishness" with a negative connotation??? to be selfish is not wrong. in this age and world u cannot survive if ur not selfish, i agree there is a line which has to be drawn. but then to be comnpletely unselfish is impossible... at some point u will be doing urself a disservice if you are not selfish towards your goal.

I think that argueing with such topics blinds us from observing the fast moving time. I therefore rely on finding the ultimate truths which he has complete faith in and living his life according to that. Now, there may ofcoarse be some villains coming up in this regard but I am sure life won't be worth living without some adventure.

As far as I myself am concirned, I think I have realised what the ultimate truth of the worlds is. I have found that the truths always stare everyone in his very eyes while people try to ignore them. A little cautiousness is enough to detect them though.

I did it with the help of creative visualisation.

Vishal, u've written a nice article, but u've not gone in depth of it.... u wrote wht u saw, wht u felt.....
going in depth means..........
wht u've written is a general thing all of them knows... so continue writing connected or related with it... for it u've to go in depth of it......
for example:
happiness is got nothing to do with materialistic world, but happiness is got a lot to do with universal love[which is lacking],

always pray tht let the humans be at peace n spread love.... let goodness flow in humans n let goodness prevail........ at universal level

to be continued............
kk

@KK, i have modified and corrected this article after almost 4 yr..i guess i hav attained maturity..to work on any loop holes..as u said...
